TH: Some of the creatures, like goblins, we wanted to do. GS: Were there ideas, features, or content that didn't make it in Morrowind that you've added to Tribunal? It's nice to do something that follows the first game quickly and keeps people interested. But we already had the tools in place to add content and features very quickly. Todd Howard: We started right after Morrowind shipped, so Tribunal's been on about a five-month development cycle, which is very fast.

GameSpot: Considering that the PC game was completed in May and the Xbox game was released soon after, it seems like Tribunal's November schedule is very aggressive.

How could a game spanning hundreds of hours possibly be expanded upon, and how can the developers possibly create an appreciable amount of new content in seemingly so little time? To answer these and other questions, we sat down with project lead Todd Howard to get the full story. Though Morrowind itself spent years in the making, developer Bethesda Softworks is already putting the finishing touches on an expansion pack for the PC version: Tribunal. PC gamers had a sense of what to expect from Morrowind and were thrilled to find it delivered on its intentions when it was released in May, while console audiences-Morrowind was later released for the Xbox-experienced in it a new and highly ambitious type of game. This epic game offers literally hundreds of hours of gameplay and presents you with a richly detailed yet incredibly huge continent to explore, filled with many different types of people and numerous intriguing factions. this expansion has none of the magic the original game had, although I must admit I was looking forward to seeing how they put Almalexia in the game, and they did a good job designing her look and narcissistic behavior.Released earlier this year, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is widely considered one of the best role-playing games in years. Tribunal takes the Nerevarine and shoves his nose in ♥♥♥♥, unapologetically. scouring around boring sewers, complete with a path being blocked off and only later being "cleared by lady Almalexia" once you've reached a certain point in her questline. you expect to be hailed as a hero in Mournhold, but what do you get instead? ♥♥♥♥-eating, smug Temple bureaucrats talking down to you as if you're a peasant.

it was the first expansion, the first time a player who had defeated Dagoth Ur would be facing new content. i could probably go on forever about everything i dislike about Tribunal. also design of the city is really simple and boring, kind of like a worse imperial city oh yeah trust me i agree. Originally posted by Atomatodudi:you guys are getting really deep into it but honestly i just hate that it all centers around a city with no exterior and all quests are centered on the sewers and the dwemer ruins under it. I thought it was a script kill, because I had over 300 hitpoints, but as it turns out, the darts do 50-100 damage (x8 since it's 100 difficulty). I play on difficulty 100, and when I encountered these guys I was being instakilled by their darts. The most obnoxious thing I've encountered (and this was one of the first things I encountered after travelling to mournhold) was the "Black Dart Gang". In essence, she's easy if you fight her at low-levels, but even getting to her requires that you be relatively high-level, which means she's a damage sponge. But if you do the Crimson Plague sidequest, and thus fight the optional boss Gedna Revel, her health is a massively high multiple of your character's maximum health. Basically, you stand a much better chance at getting through Tribunal if you're playing a high-level character.
